Howwood Hire Hub

The Howwood Hire Hub is a library of equipment which people rarely use which is available for the residents of Howwood to hire for a small fee. The initiative;

  • Saves people money as they do not have to pay to buy the item

  • Saves people space in their homes as they do not need to store the item

  • Helps the planet as people buy less

Before hiring items, borrowers need to become members by completing an application form, agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of membership and providing photographic ID and proof of address. This is an insurance requirement.

The items available to hire are listed below. This list will be updated periodically.

Items can be booked by contacting us by e-mail or via Messenger. We need your name, membership number, the number of the item you wish to hire, the date you wish to hire it (must be a Sunday) and for how long.

All borrowing is on a weekly basis. Collection and return of your item is from the Pavilion in Howwood Park on Sundays between 2pm - 4pm. Payment is due at collection.

We only accept cash at the moment, but hope to accept card payments soon.

This project has been funded by Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Local Action Group's Community Led Local Development Fund for which we are extremely grateful.
