The Pavilion
The Pavilion on Howwood Park is a football changing facility which has been closed for around 20 years. During this time the building has fallen into disrepair.
Friends of Howwood Park submitted an application for a Community Asset Transfer of the building from Renfrewshire Council, to return it to community use as a hub for park activities.
The application was approved in January 2021 and we received our lease in November 2023. We have refurbished the Pavilion using funding from the following grant;
The Pavilion in Howwood Park had been empty and unused for over 20 years. In 2021, Friends of Howwood Park applied to Renfrewshire Council for a Community Asset Transfer of the building. This was approved in January 2021, and we received our lease in November 2023. The lease is for 10 years. We have asked to increase this to 20 years.
The building was in VERY poor condition. We have raised funds from various sources to renovate the building. The cost of the works to date (including the outstanding work) is £118,290, which was funded from the following sources;

Internally, the building comprises a changing room, a multi-purpose room, a kitchen, disabled toilet, unisex toilet and storage.
The building is now open and being used by the community.
